I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I specialize in play therapy, individual counseling with children and adolescents and family therapy.
I have almost 10 year experience as a therapist. I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with my masters degree in social work in 2010. I had the opportunity to become a therapist at Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center where I worked with the most intense mental ill children in the state of Indiana. I gained valuable knowledge and skills to help in my work with children struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Reactive Attachment Disorder. I also have experience with working in the school systems and providing individual and group services to children in elementary, middle, and high school. I have extensive training in trauma and the effects of trauma in children.
I enjoy using fun, interactive, and creative techniques in therapy. I use play therapy and sand tray to help children and families work through and gain a better understanding of stressors in their lives. My ultimate goal is to help children and families achieve their best level of functioning and reach their goals all while offering a safe space to heal. I am currently accepting children aged 2 through 18.
